This print made eight trips through the press to get the colors right. Printed on Arches 300 paper, the surface had more tooth than is normal for Mono printing. The result is porous color that I like to think of as a sandstone finish.

This print was inspired by a detail from the painting, “Nature of Wind, Archetype.” It looks “black and white,” but the dark shapes were created by printing purple over green. Notice the highlights created by the intentional registration off-set. The white was printed as a final color on top of the darker images.
